Spring Break in Minnesota

Do you have any tips for the transition from Spring Break back into the daily grind? We need it. This hazelnut Panera coffee only got me to 10:30AM…

Sam and I traveled last week to beautiful Detroit Lakes, MN to visit a good friend who recently moved to the very small, lake-filled town.

Detroit Lakes is a hidden gem, located 40 minutes outside of Fargo, North Dakota. It turns into a tourist destination during the summer months, but the beautiful lakes and small town community make this a treasure to live in year round.

Our friend got a fabulous job as lead worship pastor for the town’s thriving Vineyard congregation, and will probably stay in Detroit Lakes for many years.

Fortunately, Detroit Lakes has 2 accessible airports. For 500 large bucks, we can travel round-trip to Fargo, ND. I chose to take a $60 flight to Minneapolis, and Sam drove us the 3 1/2 hours to Detroit Lakes.

We look forward to our next trip there, and the many other summer destinations we have in mind; Grand Junction CO, Portland OR, and of course, Louisville KY.

Where are you looking forward to traveling next?
