Did you know you can put an entire loaf pan into your crockpot, and it’s completely, 100% safe to do? I didn’t!
Last month, I successfully baked my first ever loaf of everyday, whole wheat bread – and I did it in a crock pot! It tasted just like the oven baked variety, but without the hassle of watching and waiting for bread to rise in the oven. This is a hands off method to wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread.
Today, I will attempt it again making chocolate banana bread (It’s Sam’s favorite!)
Directions:
Place the metal loaf pan into the oval slow cooker and cover with the lid. Set your slow cooker to HIGH and bake for approximately 1 1/2-2 hours. Baking times will vary. I check my loaf around the 1 hour mark, then 30 minutes later, then every 15 minutes until it is done.
