A Review of King Spa: My first Korean Spa experience

Ml-scouting-photos-081_54_990x660_201404240555

King Spa is a traditional Jjimjilbang, or family style Korean spa with different temperature baths and 10+ dry saunas and a wet sauna.

You can go, and for cheap!

For $20 with an H-Mart visit, or $21 or $23 with the most recent Groupon (they have one every month), King Spa is the most affordable spa experience I have heard of. Better yet, I left feeling pampered, relaxed, and raving about it with friends.

Comparable spa experiences include Aire Experience in NYC, which costs $77+ and doesn’t include an eye-opening cultural encounter with this Korean family tradition. It also doesn’t feed you (with extra cost) all the good Korean bibimbap one could ask for.

If you are having trouble racking your brain to find someone to go with, I am always up for another trip! 🙂
