A Review of Blue Apron

My husband and I found that after a tiring day at work in our gray, bleak Chicago January that planning a meal was the last task we wanted to do once we got home.

It even led to some bickering and a less than “newlywed” style bliss we’ve been trying to achieve.

After some prayer and wringing of hands, I was turned out to the idea of automatic grocery delivery. One step further than automatic grocery delivery is already prepped, recipe included, pre-planned meals. Blue Apron is a nuanced delivery service that for $10 per meal per person, I am given 3 delicious, creative meals to cook each week.

Our first week is a success. Sam and I enjoyed learning to cook a cod and potato brandade,
a homemade white pizza, and a Lebanese style vegetable bowl – I picked that one for Sam 😉

Pictured is the Tuscan Ribboleta soup we tried out during the second week- it was hearty and easy to make.

Blue Apron gives you the convenience of choosing 3 out of 6 meal options per week.

For a pescatarian like myself, I appreciate having 4 meals to choose from – an alternate I can choose if I don’t like one of the meals.

Blue Apron allows me to send a few free meals to those who want to try it out!

Leave a comment below with your email if you want to try out the delivery program, and if there are still free meals available I will send you the link.
